F.A.Q.'s
My truck details do
not appear when I enter my registration number on your website?
If you are unable to find your truck it may be because:
- Your vehicle may not have been an original UK supplied
vehicle and possibly an import.
- Do not worry, our service allows you to enter your
vehicle details manually but please be as accurate as possible with the
information you supply.
My vehicle is a
non-runner, will you still buy it?
Yes! But it is important you explain and detail the
fault/faults.
I have outstanding
finance against my truck, can you buy it?
Yes, we can settle your outstanding finance agreement. We
will require an up to date settlement figure together with your written
authority allowing us to deal directly with the finance company. Any balance
representing the difference between the agreed valuation and the outstanding
finance settlement paid to you.
How do you value my
truck?
We do not offer an automated guide price our valuation is
based purely on our knowledge of the market having been a specialist commercial
truck dealer for the last 30 years.
The valuation service we offer is completely free of charge and you are under no
obligation to sell. We always carry out an inspection of a vehicle before we
complete the transaction, this may either be at your premises or ours.
What is the process?
1. Enter your truck’s registration number into our website
2. Provide us with a few details about your truck such as,
general condition, service history, MOT and mileage
3. Please provide an honest assessment of the vehicle’s
condition.
Getting a valuation
4. We will return to you by email with a provisional
valuation. Providing the details you have input are accurate, our valuation will
represent a firm offer to buy your truck. If on closer inspection there are
issues with the vehicle or the vehicle has been misrepresented, then our offer
may be adjusted or withdrawn.
Appointments
If you are happy with the online valuation you can follow
the link from the valuation email to book an appointment, for us to inspect your
truck.
You will need to
bring all documents, keys etc. for the vehicle. If your online appraisal matches
our onsite appraisal, we'll check a few details and can arrange everything there
and then, if you decide to sell your truck. The process should take no longer
than 30 minutes.
We can even arrange the settlement of your finance, but you
will need to provide us with a final settlement letter.

vehicle we intend to buy it.
- Have you the time to waste dealing with speculative
phone calls, waiting in for viewings and making your vehicle available to view.
Have some buyers left you wondering whether you will see them again?
- No haggling
- Zero marketing cost (no advertising spend or auction
fees)
- No inconvenience, either preparing your truck for sale
or running it to an auction
- A trade sale with WW Commercial is possibly the simplest
method of sale.
What does 'subject
to inspection' mean?
Our valuation is subject to an inspection of the truck,
simply to verify the details you have provided online are accurate. One of our
representatives can be instructed to visit your premises at short notice if a
speedy transaction is necessary. On occasion we can work with up to date digital
images which can be emailed to us.
Payment terms, how
do I get paid?
Our standard payment terms utilise BACS payment which takes
4 working days after the day of sale to arrive at your bank account. For an
additional fee of £30.00 we can provide you with the option of receiving payment
by next working day.
Is there a
transaction fee?
There are no transaction fees; however, for payment by next
working day there is a fee of £30.00 to cover bank charges.
What about the value
of my remaining road tax?
Good News! The remaining value of any road tax on your
vehicle is not included in the valuation we give. If you sell your truck to WW
Commercial we will hand back your tax disc. You will then need to fill in a V14
form to claim a refund.
What happens if I
don't enter full details of my truck's condition?
Our valuation is based on the details you provide. We hold
the details you enter online, we cross refer this information when we inspect
your truck.
We always carry out an on-site inspection of the truck
before we buy. If we consider that its value is affected by any aspect of its
history or condition, including any unusual feature or customisation, which was
not apparent to us when we gave the online valuation, we reserved the right to
adjust our offer. We do not seek to
find an excuse to offer you a lower amount unlike some companies and nothing
gives us greater satisfaction than paying you the online valuation figure, so it
is important that the details you submit online are a fair and accurate
representation of your vehicle.
I received a
valuation online a few months ago, is it still valid?
In order to get the
most accurate valuation we advise you re-enter your truck details onto our site
to get an up-to-date valuation. In most circumstances the valuation will not be
affected, any change is not necessarily negative (unlike private motors cars).
We supply trucks to both UK and export markets and we are only too aware that
supply and demand can fluctuate and there are many instances where the value of
a truck can inflate, even during the course of a few weeks/months. We would
always recommend you re-enter your details for an up to date valuation.
Do you always
complete a transaction at the agreed online valuation figure?
Yes, providing you have supplied a fair and honest
description of the vehicle.
What if I don’t have
a V5 registration document?
We are unable to purchase your truck without the original
V5 document (log book).
If you do not have one you can obtain a new document by
filling in form V62 which you can download from the DVLA or pick up from any
Post Office. The completed form and appropriate fee should be sent to DVLA,
Swansea SA99 1AR. It normally takes 3 to 4 weeks to obtain a new V5.
What if the V5
registration document is not in my name?
The V5 (log book) holds the details of the registered
keeper of the vehicle. To prevent fraud, we will only purchase a vehicle from
you if it is your name or the name of the company you represent on the V5. If
you have any a specific query relating to the vehicles V5 then you may call us
on 01543 373959 during normal office hours (9.00am to 5.00pm)
My truck has no MOT
or the MOT will shortly expire?
We will still value your truck, it is not essential for the
vehicle to have current MOT. We are more concerned with the cosmetic and
mechanical integrity of the vehicle.
Why do you need my
email address and telephone number?
We need your email address so that we can send your truck
valuation to you, once it has been calculated. We ask for your telephone number
so that we can get in touch with you if we have any queries about your truck
which may prohibit us from sending you a prompt valuation via email.
Please note, we fully adhere to the 1998 Data Protection
Act and will not divulge any of your personal details to third parties
I have not received
my valuation email!
Valuation emails usually arrive within 30 minutes.
Our process is not completely automated; we ensure each enquiry receives
specific attention to ensure the most accurate and up to date market valuations.
If you have not received an email by this time, you may have entered your email
address incorrectly on the website or it may have been intercepted by the spam
or junk email filter on your computer.
Our emails are carefully worded to minimise the possibility
of ending up in your spam filter, but there are some things you can check if you
think this has happened. Within your email software, you will have a folder
called 'Junk Email', 'Spam' or something similar. If you do, check inside it for
our email.
What do I do if I'm
unhappy with your service?
We endeavour to provide you with a fast and fair way to
sell your truck. If you feel that we have let you down in any way or have a
suggestion of how we can improve our service, please email us at
